Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
Throughout the year, our students have been developing their skills, confidence and teamwork in sport sessions with the Heroes with Ability team.
Our students participated in the 2025 Heroes with Ability Schools Gala Day and we are incredibly proud of them for winning the day and bringing the shield home to Ashcroft Public School.
Congratulations to everyone involved for making it a wonderful celebration of inclusion, teamwork and community spirit.
Children’s Week is a national event that raises awareness of children’s rights under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), celebrating the importance of every child being seen and heard.
The 2025 theme, “Everyone should know about Children’s Rights!”, guided our activities.
Some of our future leaders took part in a workshop with Advocates from the Office for Youth during the NSW Advocate for Children and Young People tour. The session focused on empowering students to use their voices to advocate for important issues in their community.
We are proud of our students for stepping up as strong, confident advocates.
Xavier is a talented sportsperson, representing Ashcroft Public School and Sydney South West PSSA in cricket and softball.
This year, he received a scholarship from the Usman Khawaja Foundation. The scholarship supports young people’s aspirations through cricket and education.
Congratulations to Xavier on this great achievement and we look forward to seeing where his cricket journey takes him!
