How old does my child have to be?

Your child must already be four years old, or turning four before the end of July in the year they attend. Generally, children only attend our preschool for one year - the year immediately before they commence Kindergarten.

 

What hours are you open?

We are licensed to operate Monday to Friday during NSW Public School terms, between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm.

 

What are your fees?

Our preschool daily fee is in line with the NSW Government Policy – Preschool Class Fees in Government Preschools.

STANDARD DAILY FEE:  $15 per day

ALTERNATIVE DAILY FEE:  $5 per day for holders of a current Commonwealth Health Care Card or Aboriginal students.

 

Do you provide food?

No, families must pack a nutritious lunch for their child each day. Please find more information in our Preschool Handbook on appropriate foods to pack.

 

How many children attend your preschool?

Ashcroft Public School Preschool is licensed to care for a maximum of twenty (20) children per day.

 

What if my child is sick on a preschool day?

Please contact the school office and advise of your child's absence. Daily Fees will still be charged.

 

What days can my child come to preschool?

Our preschool offers 2 classes with a maximum of 20 children per day. Children attend preschool either 2 or 3 days per week as outlined below. This ensures each child has access to 600 hours of preschool over the course of the year, in line with the federal government's initiative of Universal Access to a quality preschool program.
